Very slow and over priced. It used to be a great pub but now service is slow and poor. I had a bad experience at Easter with slowness and poor food quality but thought it a one off. I went again 12/5. Steaks lesser quality than Aubrey Allen. Ordered a rib eye steak and said my steak really has to be medium, told exec chef is on duty and it would be fine. After 30m told no rib eyes left so ordered fillet but still it arrived very rare. Really has gone down hill. Parking: Good availability.

We had a roast here today and my boyfriend and I who are both gluten free ordered GF specified pork and beef roast dinners. They came out and specified which were ours but the gravy must have not been gluten free because my boyfriend and I left feeling very sick. Dissapointing that they weren’t able to meet our allergy accommodations. The food was good but will be feeling sick for a few days which makes the food not worth it. To top it all off, it was boiling in the room we were in and had to ask 3 people to open a door before they actually did anything. Not a great experience.

Excellent and very attentive service & in our view, in the current climate, still good value for what were delicious roasts ( 2 x beef & 2 x lamb) . Accompanying vegetables were a very good choice as were the starter & dessert menus. Good to see the restaurant very full. It was nice to meet Ollie, the General Manager who was working there that day. Have been going there for many years & look forward to our next visit.

Shocking Easter Sunday lunch with the Roast Beef main course sent back as inedible and the replacement was even worse. A distinct lack of customer care or service, and with a big bill of £184.00 for four the Maitre de offered no apology and when spoken to about the terrible food offered no explanation or anything. We started going here as it was better than The Moorings owned by the same company, and which had declined. Won’t be going again, and would urge caution to anyone thinking of going.

Lovely little pub. Welcoming. Beer was excellent. Only shame was no food being served until 6pm and we visited at 4:30pm.
