I haven't flown from Southampton for years and was lucky enough to get free entry to the lounge as I was flying Club Europe with British Airways. It's lovely peaceful surroundings are complimented by friendly and help staff. The menu varies depending on the time of day you're travelling. It has everything you would expect from a Business Class lounge in a smaller airport. Even if you have to pay to enter it's certainly worth it.

Friendly receptionist named Sebastian was helpful and explained what was available. Unfortunately, the attitude of the waitress and the variety of food available was decidedly average. Perhaps I am old fashioned, however, customer service does not include being questioned why you didn’t like the choice of gin available- only Gordon’s s and the poor Britvic tonic. Also, we were criticised for changing where we sat to eat once the very small portions of food came out. At least the Guinness was cold and as I helped myself I didn’t get told off by the grumpy waitress!

Not particularly impressed that we paid £50 for the two of us and there was next to nothing on offer: - Ran out of coffee - Ran out of mugs (then heard them ask a gentlemen to go downstairs for another mug) - No sparkling wine (surely a given in an airport lounge?!) I have no qualms paying for a lounge but really the basics have to be right. They are not here!
