At first I felt a little disappointed with 1st impressions the building work was still going on which tbh we were warned about, but waited 10 mins to check in as no one was around the main reception, hall and dinning room do need refurbishing for the money you pay. BUT the view is amazing and when we got to our room it was very nice, large good temperature and we could see the sea even though it wasn’t classed as a sea view. The walls were a little thin as we could hear next door. The bathroom decor was fine though a little cramped, breakfast was great a selection of pastries, fruits, cereals and a large menu of mains our bill was £348 for two nights b&b with free parking

Perched on a hill with amazing views, the hotel has the best location in Saltburn. Staff so friendly, food really good, the breakfasts were 4.5 star, the Kippers definitely 5 stars, so were the afternoon cakes. So why 4 star review, currently undergoing a lot of building works, which whilst we were there over the weekend was silent, it has restricted the use if the hotel. The views, and the car parking. Felt as a result it was pricey for what you currently experience. Would return but only once the works completed, unless the prices reflect the reduction in space and view. Rooms: Part refurbished. A little work to go, to becoming a 4 star hotel.

We only stayed over at the hotel. We never had any food or spa treatments. However, we plan to revisit, sampling the food and treatments. The room we stayed in was beautiful. Spacious, clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated to the buildings period. Had all the extras, tea/coffees etc in room. Safe location, parking on site. Walking distance to many of local bars and restaurants. Near to transport links with the train station close by, and beautiful views to be had on the beach and coastal cliff walks.
