The Sound Collective is a very friendly choir. There is no audition or solo's and I joined having never been part of a choir before. Emma and Abbey are very welcoming and I have never had so much fun. There are always opportunities to perform in public but there is no pressure to do this if just coming along to practice for a good old sing is what you prefer.

I joined Sound Collective Choir towards the end of the summer last year. I have found it to be a very enjoyable experience, with friendly people. Emma is a great teacher helping us and encouraging us to sing in harmony which can sometimes be difficult, but she is doing an amazing job. Emma also arranges different venues for us to attend and sing, and tries to include as many of us as it’s possible, depending on how many singers are needed. I would recommend Sound Collective for those who loves to be included, sing, express energy and have fun, to join.

This is not just a choir, it is a community! Beautiful original harmonies, available from our website to members, and a great way to practise; a variety of styles of song. Then there's spinoff groups; Books and Banter, and a walking group. It's inclusive and supportive. So many places to choose to rehearse at if you can't make your usual group. Theatre visits. Workshops. Residential opportunities. Singing for charities. I can thoroughly recommend it. I've been a member since it began, over ten years ago.

It's time for me just to focus on the music and singing and worry about nothing else for the whole session. Would totally recommend, even if you think you haven't enough time, make the time for music and yourself and it will be one of the best things you ever do 🤩🎶

I love, love everything about this choir. Great bunch of people, really friendly and supportive. I have sung at some lovely venues since joining a few years back but there's no pressure to perform if that's not your thing: I had no intention to when I first joined but it sort of sneaks up on you. Emma choses great songs with interesting arrangements. Great social side too.
