We truely had an Outstanding spectacular pre-student experience this evening at their Sixth form open evening. My young ones were so inspired and impressed by the proficiency, professionalism, & kindness shown & given to their individual needs as a future pupil. The tutors & students alike enthusiastic positivity with sincerity & vigour "true authenticity & care" for others really shined. As a parent, working professional & mentor the subjects on offer and extra curricular activities were vast. Looked very engaging diverse & exceedingly inclusive to my own interests, let alone my young ones curiosities, delightful tutors & students provided us with copious quantities of background reading 📚 and demonstrated exceptional research skills and tencity in their chosen specialities. Thank you guys, girls & others. Given plenty of food for thought for any young person or supportong parent/s who are looking for a great place, space that welcomes communities, diverse cultures and strong moral philosophies & ethical principles to starting their flourishing career. Colchester VI Form is definately the perfect cornerstone to begin their endeavour and flourishing ✨️ career... Thank you Rueben P (Criminolgy) and Liz, Molly, Lauren & team (liz especially Dept Lead Sociology) for a tad of bedtime reading, to nurture ones young minds. This experience really sold it to us the pupil-centered, student-centered place to be to suit our Suffolk needs, what a great place so thank you so much Essex for accommodating us- first class indeed 😀. We highly recommend it 👌 👍 👏 🙌 , its pupils , and its people so welcoming 🙏. Colchester Sixth Form - Give it a go & visit for yourself, do go along to an Open Day or open evening - you won't regret it !!!! Thank you one & all . From one very delighted mother to another 😀 ....

I didn’t go here, my girlfriend did. I’m very thankful for everything she learned here. There’s a certain teacher that goes by Sallie Anne something, not only my girlfriend hated her, as I hear, a couples of students couldn’t stand her. This Sallie Anne whatever her surname is told my girlfriend that she was never going to get accepted into vet school and my gf went home to cry that day. You would expect that someone that works with kids that are trying to better themselves would act a bit more mature. My girlfriend not only got accepted but is now a doctor from the best university in the country. Can’t say the same for this Sallie mae or Sallie anne (couldn’t care less about her name) so there it is, if you find this sammie lame watch out, she’s not only hateful, she has no idea of what reality is. I’ll get to tell to her face one day.

Didn't get much help from some of the teachers. The students majority of the time act passive aggressive and fake their niceness (can't understand what their problem is). Couldn't trust anyone around me. I would try to work hard when my depression state was quite bad but I found the circustances within my life too much to bear hence giving up to work hard and take responsibility from time to time e.g dealing with too much complications within emails, etc.

I left this college in 2012, with my A levels and I'm happy to say this is 2 years I'll never get back. I never got along with the early starts and the toxic culture. From what I saw its a school of (if you come from money then you'll succeed.) surrounded by fake smiles and students bad mouthing each other behind their backs. Unfortunately I also went through a personal crisis at home during my time here and received no support, I was drastically loosing weight and struggling with my health and again recieved no support. I remember most of my time there as being negative with the exception of some of the staff really pushing me to succeed in the arts and photography department. Im confident it was the lack of support I received from the staff at this college that left me not wanting to go to university. I am left wondering where I would be in life if I chose another sixth form to attend.
