We booked a meal for our family- twelve people in all. EVERYONE- without exception- was impressed with the quality of our meal and the service we received. We had already booked meals in 2 other highly rated Derbyshire establishments for the other 2 days of their stay- but the meal service and atmosphere of The Sitwell Arms surpassed them all. We would definitely book again- in fact we are making arrangements for next year’s meal already! We didn’t stay here-so no accommodation was booked.

My daughter and I had a lovely lunch at The Sitwell Arms yesterday. From the booking to our reception to the meal which seemed to be cooked as required, made a lovely day. It was made all the more delightful because we were not rushed and could catch up with a chat between courses. The only downside could be that if you are in a rush, you could be anxious at the speed of service. I think in those cases, you could mention your situation but it was perfect for us. Walkability: Easy for limited mobility

Attended a friend's wedding here, I was her matron of honour Lovely service, lovely food just a shame one of the waitresses was really abrupt to me and my lovely 5 year old daughter for absolutely no reason, this happened three times. I shouted wait a minute as she asked my daughter if she'd like ketchup followed by a sarcastic yes? no? she obviously needs to retire as did not look happy at all. She asked who was for the cesear chicken starter I paused for literally a second and she grabbed my name card telling me it was on the back if I looked!?? It wasn't there! it was the main course written on the back! she looked annoyed at me when I said sorry my daughter has messed the set up of knives and forks where me and her were sat, how about a smile and don't worry I will sort that for you instead of a shrug and eye roll. Another member of the wedding party had a running with the same woman so not just me
