Do not go here. Our bank holiday has been totally ruined. We paid for an extra large double room. The room (cell) we got was miniscule and the bed not even a normal double. The window, such as it was, was only visible if you stood on the bed. When we asked for a refund the receptionist said he didn't know the manager's surname. The manager, Kevin-of-no-surname refused to answer any calls or emails. This room was ludicrous and we assume Kevin is holding onto his surname and our money for dubious reasons. Avoid at all costs. When I booked this hotel it said there was a restaurant, and after a long journey I found it wasn't open so had to drive to a pub to eat. My room is reasonable, the bed on one side I think is broken and the t v not working. Not somewhere I would come back too. Rooms : 2/5 | Service : 3/5 | Location : 3/5 Hotel highlights Quiet … More

This was the worst stay at any hotel I have ever experienced. To begin with the electric car charging points which state are working and free are not at all working and never have, and no apologies were made for this. The “honeymoon” suite was far from a romantic place to stay- BLACK mould on windowsills and toilet roll holder hanging on by thread in bathroom, walls were dirty, floor covered in white stains and jet bath with no working jets! When we attempted to complain to reception and very rude obnoxious woman named Lisa (the cleaner who can’t clean) abused us and told us we wrong and she was right, even belittled us enough to say we thought our £50 night stay was like the the ritz! Absolute insult to the Beautiful establishment the ritz is and a clear eye opener that these people have no regard or respect for customers. I was then approached a second time,( with video evidence ) by this horrible Lisa woman who seems to be very loud and mouthy for someone who should be cleaning mould instead of causing distress to paying customers )and was made to feel uncomfortable and threatened after paying money to this disgusting place. The tone used by a cleaner who’s clearly inadequate to even do her job properly was vile and I would avoid this hotel for above reasons . I would avoid bringing children to this hotel at all costs , it would be detrimental to an adults health let alone a child, and not to mention a bad example of customer service. Bullying and acting piggish is not acceptable especially after handing over hard earned money. I am so upset with the stay and no help or compensation has been offered. Completely selfish and disgraceful. Onto the next diabolical experience we had here, the breakfast!! We were given breakfast inclided with our booking, then to be abruptly told by another member of staff that we were to pay £5 for the luxury! This may have been the only issue resolved, however it was very much put back into perspective when we walked into the breakfast room. Horrible decor and tasteless continental breakfast. Stale crumpets - plastic looking fruit and dirty cutlery, tableware and glasses. AVOID please see the pathetic attempts of cleaning in pictures and for goodness sake! Stay away from this pit! Maybe instead of running your mouth run some cleaning products around! The lovely specimen is only shown in pics

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at by far. Black mold on the windows of the honeymoon suite, Jacuzzi bath that is broken. Very squeaky four poster bed. When highlighting to the manager the cleaning staff became abusive. The receiption staff tried to charge 5 pounds per person for breakfast which was included in booking. There is no hot food available for breakfast only stale crumpets and muffins, Dirty glasses and cutlery. The manager stated the locals are happy with the condition of the rooms which will explain what sort of people stay and work at this hotel. Avoid at all costs if you want a clean healthy night stay. Avoid taking your children here as it would be damaging to there health and given the abusive behaviour from the cleaners when trying to speak with manager it would not be suitable for a yound child to see or hear that behaviour from an adult. Due to Corona virus you would think there are measures in place to ensure the hygeine is the top priority.
