This place used to be the place to go for a late night pie n chips after a few beers in town. Sadly the quality of the food has gone down hill. Very bland and very over priced. It's cheaper to get yourself a Chinese takeaway on the way home ,than to eat here with basic food served in a takeaway box. Save your money, this place under new ownership has sadly had its day. 2* might be a tad generous in this rating.

Me and my friends wanted to show my girlfriend how awesome the wakefield pie shop is. 3 of us bought food there and my friend went to get food from somewhere else. We all ate at one table and enjoyed our time until the owner walked up to us and started complaining like a child about us having different food there then kicked a chair. The owner then contacted the Marshall's to kick us out. The marshall sat with us and was surprised as the owner made it seem like we were aggressive even though we were very chilled out. I'm really disappointed with the customer service unfortunately. I have read some of the negative reviews for this shop and I have noticed the way the shop reacts to negative reviews is very unprofessional and unfortunately it shows inside the shop as well.

Used to love going here after a night out until last night. The owner kicked us all out because our friend bought food from a different takeaway then came in and sat with us. All 3 of us bought pies and drinks. It was disgusting behaviour from the owner, we weren’t hurting anyone. We’ll never be going here again.

The Pie Shop provided pie and peas for our party yesterday evening. Matthew brought ample pies, peas and gravy which were all tasty and warm. He also brought onions, mint and other sauces as well as plates and cutlery. He then served quickly and afterwards cleared away and took everything away with him. Every guest complimented the food and we would highly recommend The Pie Shop to provide food for your party
