I have been to a number of Miller and Carter restaurants, and by and large, you know what you're getting. However, on this occasion, we both opted for the rack of ribs and fries ( pretty simple).. the ribs were mostly fat, very greasy, and the chips were dry, almost re-heated dry. Additionally, as ribs tend to be a messy affair, extra napkins are usually provided, and if you're really lucky, you get a bowl of water to wash off your fingers... if you use a knife and fork to eat your ribs... then good for you.. however, I digress, and there were no extra napkins and no water bowl for cleaning hands after. Our waitress, however, was lovely and polite. The venue is situated in a lovely setting, albeit on a main road, but has wide open spaces behind and a large free car park. Inside reminds me of a Harvester, not that there's anything wrong with Harvester, but compared to the Miller and Carter restaurants we have frequented, this was a little underwhelming given the lovely location.
