It’s an incredible place where the sensory needs of children/adults with additional needs are met in a fun, creative and bespoke way. The staff are welcoming and very knowledgeable about sensory processing disorder, multi sensory impairment ,trauma, attachment disorder ASD etc etc and how sensory input can make a huge difference to their lives and how they function. It is an amazing and very valuable facility that my children love to attend.

My little boy has been going here since September. We are waiting on a diagnosis of ASD, ADHD, PIKKA and Hyper Sensory Disorder amongst other things. Before attending he would have meltdowns, headbanging, attacking his baby brother as well as other children/adults. He wouldn't eat properly or play, was non verbal and very closed off from the world in which he was in. Since attending his Wednesday sessions with Nadine he has come on leaps and bounds with professionals noticing the differences. He has started to learn words cheese, chair, tap, again. His concentration has developed a lot more along with his motor skills. He absolutely loves this place and the staff, its just fun fun fun in a safe environment that specialises in groups or 1-1 sessions and most of all can be in his own little world without worry, anxiety or standing out. He does painting, decorating cakes, biscuits, etc, has messy play and sensory play, music the list is endless. I would have still been lost without this service, it gives me the much needed break and time out for myself and to spend with his little brother who often gets neglected of attention due to Ronan being in such demand all the time. The work they do not only with families but the local community is astonishing and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Ronan-Lee and mummy

The Sensory Shack is amazing, honestly has got our family through this last year. I found this place by accident from starting to volunteer here when it not long opened. Sadly i couldnt stay to help due to family medical reasons needing me at home full time. But we have since used the service from then on and it has been a saviour for our son and us as a family. The staff who run it are amazing. So friendly, supportive and just all round lovely people. Our son is in his element here, giving him the confidence to want to leave my side and be in a safe and secure play environment, letting him explore at his pace and giving him their full attention. He has thrived since using this facility and we would honestly be lost without it now. Cant thank Sinead and the staff enough for what they do. Thank you a million. Highly recommended 👌
