Having always trusted my eye examinations to Mr Howarth I felt confident I would receive the usual professional attention and accurate diagnosis. The appointment was quickly arranged for the following day by the friendly and courteous receptionist. The appointment was punctual, lasting overall for around forty minutes, also very thorough and informative. My fears were allayed as Mr Howarth gave me a detailed description of exactly why I had presented with such symptoms and importantly that it was a common condition that required no further treatment.

I have just had my eyes tested at this opticians for the first time and wanted to leave a review because it was such an exceptionally good experience! The optician was warm and friendly, and a whole range of tests performed professionally and with ease. The assistants were equally engaging and really helpful with choosing/fitting the frames. It was all so well done. I highly recommend them.

I had a lovely experience yesterday when having a regular eye check. I’m type 1 diabetic and Mr Howarth took pictures of the backs of my eyes and explained fully what problems can occur with diabetics. This is the first time in over 30 years that someone has been kind enough to explain by using the pictures taken, to show what changes can happen in diabetic eyes. He’s such a nice, caring man.
