A nice local but a bit tired and in need of some love. The food is great (recommend mussels, scotch egg, fish pie, steak) but the service is hit and miss.

Food was seriously overpriced for what it was. Roast beef too thinly sliced which had clearly been left on a hot plate for over an hour so it was dry and curled at the sides (we ate at 3pm on a Sunday so hardly very late). Fois gras brûlée was also tasteless. Disappointing that for £50 a head the food wasn’t even seasoned.

Great pint of Brixton Pale Ale in The Sands End today. Sadly, I was the only customer in there! This wonderful pub feels like a use it, or loose in place. Hope they get busier in the evenings and weekend
