We're a premium window cleaning company that specialises in cleaning period property, so we often get asked to do "Post-Construction" cleans for our clients. Usually when we arrive on site after an extension has been built, the contractors have made two fundamental mistakes in both the work they have done and the design. In terms of the work carried out, one common mistake that lesser contractors make; is that they put the windows onto the building; at the WRONG stage of the construction process. This means that the homeowner's beautiful bifold doors and windows are RUINED by mortar and other construction debris. In terms of the design, they have architected the extension in a way that is not in keeping the design of the original building. To paraphrase the memorable words of Prince Charles, their once beautiful period home, now appears: "Like a carbuncle, on the face of a much loved friend". I've worked on more than 15 of Clive Salter projects over the years, and the above issues NEVER arise with his work. Furthermore, the way he's architected the construction just works 'holistically' as a design. You get this really amazing blend of old and new. The period property retains all of its charm, but it is also massively enhanced by Clive's work - yet with ALL of its character still fully intact.
