Big shout out to Simon at the running works in Houndsditch, who took over 30 minutes to help me find the right running shoe. His knowledge of running and mindful attention to detail was appreciated, and he was happy to bring out a big pile of boxes of shoes and then work through them in a systematic way to find the shoe that gave me the best running style and the right mindset of feeling secure and comfortable too. Having video equipment on hand to see how you run with different shoes, to make comparisons by placing those videos side by side, and then discussing it with Simon - who has this deep and long-standing knowledge and experience of the biomechanics of running – was just great. And then you can also connect your own experience to the visuals, which gives you the confidence that you are buying the best pair for you. So - wow – I wish I’d is known about this place before. And thank you hugely Simon - I promise never again to shop for running shoes anywhere else but this place! It felt good to be supporting an independent retailer too.
