I can see that a fellow reviewer (John) had a similar experience to me. The porter made my guests feel incredibly uncomfortable. I felt embarrassed taking them to the establishment as a result, especially after having spoken so highly of the ROSL. The porter did apologise, but it was too late by then. The atmosphere was unwelcome and hostile for young adults (who quite frankly are the future of the club and are very much needed at the ROSL). I have suspended my membership since this occasion, despite being a long-standing acquaintance, having first started attending at 9 years of age. It is a shame as ROSL hosts some great music and political affairs events that I miss attending. Perhaps one day I can give it another go. In the meantime, I have a membership at another reciprocal club.

Attending a special dinner there, my single room was small but very well appointed, air conditioned and comfortable. Fabulous breakfast and a friendly team! Not often in London you have a view like this

Treats younger members with utter disdain and disrespect. Avoid at all costs and find a club that doesn’t just take your money and ignore your membership. Last month I overheard 2 members of staff (porters) talk about me in the cloakroom commenting I was too young and must be weird to be a member - I’m 30 so hardly a teenager. Can’t wait to cancel at next renewal date. In particular, need to echo reviews below. The porters are beyond rude and I have never felt more unwelcome.

Attended the QE II memorial concert which was superb, all 4 performers being outstanding. Then had supper which was, as ever, excellent. Our room was cold as the heating system's remote control wasn't working. However, one of the night receptionists was quick to respond to our call and he provided a replacement, showing us how it operated, after which everything was fine. Breakfast was the usual high standard. All very satisfactory, thank you.
