Danielle and the staff are ever so lovely! Me and my roommate love coming into the rose villa for a cheeky pint or even a strawberry woo woo after work and uni! It’s so friendly and fun I think a lot of people forget that the JQ is in a city so therefore you will have to pay city prices for pint. Even though the pub may feel all warm and cozy like a local country side pub it is in the city so a pint is going to cost you £6-7. This isn’t at the fault of the owners. If you want a cheap pint I suggest building a time machine back to the 70s or travel to a small country side pub. Anyways. The rose villa is always buzzing with lovely stuff and great tunes! One thing I was say is that I did wait 40 minutes for my food and when I went up to ask where it was it came within seconds but was rather cold. But I think this will be due to it being a busy Saturday and sometimes staff forget. But they where more than apologetic and lovely about it. In the grand scheme of things it’s worth the money and they host fun nights. It’s worth the pop in after a long day at work or even a long day of shopping for sparkly things!

This place has so much potential. It's a lovely old building with tons of character. But... It's recently been refurbished, the main change seems to have been to put big screens for sport in. Not sure what market research has led them to conclude this is what the JQ crowd want, but it isn't. And if it was, they'd go somewhere that doesn't charge upwards of £6 for a pint. We all know the cost of everything has shot up, but not at the rate or to the extent that this place's prices have. £4.45 for a non-alcoholic cider? You're having a laugh.
