*posting on behalf of my mum, samantha* I was met by a very aggressive receptionist today. She was super rude the whole time - I’m wearing a mask as instructed to do so and she shouts at me with a snotty attitude “can’t hear you” and when I asked her to let my husband know where I was she shouted “patient only”. Everything she said and did was blunt and rude and I later found out she had lied to my husband about what I had said. When I asked her to let my husband know where I was and could he wait for me in reception (I’ve got a broken leg and arm so my leg is in a boot atm so I need assistance) she said fine. When I left I saw my husband sitting outside on a bench and it weren’t until I mentioned how rude this woman was he said she had told him I had said wait in the car like he wasn’t welcome in the hospital. Fortunately, the staff in the CT Department were amazing and really helpful! Shame the woman who greets you let’s you all down. Definitely need to work on your customer service…

Covid free green site. Staff are excellent and I have never had a bad experience here. My surgery and ongoing care have been exemplary. I have always been very anxious prior to surgery with this one exception The Rivers staff and consultants treat you as a friend not just a patient I cannot praise them enough so a simple Thank You is all I have.
