I have trained here for a few years now and I cannot over-recommend this gym. Yes, it's a boxing gym but there's no attitude from any of the trainers or other members, quite the reverse, you'll get plenty of support and encouragement from everyone as well as excellent training from Burf and all the other trainers. Taking up boxing and training with Burf is one of the best decisions I have ever made and I've got a huge amount back from boxing. Yes, you should give it a serious go (not that I'm biased of course!) but remember "You can't play boxing!" as Burf is wont to say.

I purchased a One on One Introduction to Boxing on their web-site and none ever contacted me or responded my 5 emails. Neither they returned the money. Don't waist your money and time on them, just cheaters.

In 16 days from 5 Nov to 21 Nov I lost 2.66kg of fat and put on 3.9kg of muscle training with Burf at The Ring Boxing Club. My net weight increased from 89.7kg to 90.9kg but my body fat % dropped from 20.8% to 17.7% The numbers tell their own story but they don’t say that it was actually good fun. Hard work but great group of people and a cracking trainer.

I've been training at the Ring for about a month and generally in boxing for two months. Burf is a very knowledgeable trainer and cares about the training. One of my recent sessions included 4 three minute sessions on the heavy bag, 4 on the speed bag and 3 or 4 on the wall pads. I think it may have been one of the most intensive, and physically demanding training sessions I have ever had as an adult. Outside of the tradition of boxing (of which Burf is extremely knowledgeable), and the technical skill it requires, both of which I find very interesting, the physical benefits, after learning the rudimentary punching skills allowing for workouts, are excellent: weight loss, greater flexibility, greater stamina, better sleep, situational awareness, physical confidence. I highly recommend Burf and the Ring if you have an interest in boxing. It is a high quality outfit, and he is a very high quality individual.

After the last couple of years of lockdowns and lots of working from home, it has been great to get back into central London, and as a complete beginner, start a regular boxing training programme that has strengthened me physically and stimulated me mentally. Burf and his team are very professional, and ensured that I’ve had a rewarding experience in a friendly and welcoming environment.

What a magical place under the railway arches. Weights and machines and boxing rings and training. Definitely not a gym for posing or showing off, just for getting fit. Good manager too.
