If I could give less than one Star, I would. This is the 4th time coming here (fortunately not my registered doctor's as we live in Stanford however always get sent here) Reception staff are consistently rude and Ill-mannered, they will leave you standing their without acknowledging you for any amount of time, so be prepared to feel belittled and unimportant on every visit. You can never be certain that your appointment will have been booked properly and we have in the past, attended in rush hour for a 4 week old baby's vaccinations and been sent home without being seen. The only acception to this bad review is that, when we have been seen, the nurse has been brilliant and is the only credit of note to the practice. Our baby's final (16 week) is now being done at 21+ weeks! Do everything you can to not use this practitioner. A formal letter has been written to the practice lead, however just wanted to get this out there for all to see.

THIS PRACTICE SHOULD BE CLOSED DOWN! They are horrific. I dont know how they are still open. They are dismissive, they dont listen, they lose your information, they dont keep any record of previous conversations with doctors, they never get back to you, I was waiting for test results, they never came, the worst GP I HAVE EVER BEEN TO!!!

my in laws are 80 and hard of hearing. They get very frustrated talking to the doctor on the phone and when ask to see a doctor they are told the doctor will call, then they only hear half of the conversation. This silly system we have been left with after covid may suit staff but it does not suit patients. elderly people are vulnerable and ostracized

Incredibly poorly run GP. Doctors don't listen, other medical staff are dismissive. Everyone lies, won't pre-book appointments. The staff treat their patients incredibly poorly. Should not be running. Avoid if you can.

Absolutely ridiculous. Been on hold for over 30mins and no one picks up. 111 say call you GP as need to talk with professional but can't even get through to them. Trouble place.

I wonder whether the surgery really cares at all about the patients that try to use this facility. I made a call on the line for 18 minutes no answer (I was actually first in the line) Not even an email contact The out of hours number doesn't work. It's a shame I can't give the surgery a thumbs down well here goesππππ there's 4 for starters. The reviews on the NHS website are a mixed bag. But on Google reviews 99% are rating the surgery as very poor. Still can't make an appointment

What a joke of a doctor's ! Been on the phone for about 3 hours combined been told the doctor will phone back twice and hasn't bothered, what a disgrace. Shocking service. Currently on hold been 50min and I've moved from caller 5 to 2! 50min for 3 phone calls clearly ain't got enough receptionists. JOKE avoid these like the plague Wouldn't even give them one star but it won't post less I put one.

Very good service NHS doctors surgery. Excellent staff. We are puzzled to see the wholly negative reporting about the Rigg Milner Medical Centre, East Tilbury, in the 2nd of September edition of the Thurrock Gazette. The article alludes to the poor rating given by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) with regard to the non-clinical staff but does not mention the patient care provided by the clinical staff. On perusal of the CQC website, we have found that every aspect of Rigg Milner has been rated as inadequate, including clinical care. We find this highly perplexing. As a retired surgeon and a retired university professor respectively, we have been with Rigg Milner for over four years, which includes the previous management and the current management. Throughout this period, we have found the principal GP and the two long-term locum GPs to be highly professional in their consultation with us. We were always given enough time to discuss our ailments and were offered helpful medical advice. If we required a referral to the hospital, then it was arranged in a timely way with the appropriate specialist at the hospital. Reports of our hospital tests were conveyed to us over the phone by one of the GPs. We are not aware of the high turnover of the administrative staff. Any staff whom we have spoken to over the phone were polite and helpful, whether we called them to arrange an appointment or saw them at the surgery. During the restrictions due to COVID, when face-to-face consultations were discouraged, we received the same quality of service from the GPs over the phone. We strongly believe the Rigg Milner Medical Centre is providing a high quality clinical service to the local community and we wholeheartedly endorse it.
