My grandmother was cared for at The Ridings Care Home and whilst I could visit her before they had to close to the public, I found the staff to excellent, funny and a accommodating. During the lockdown they kept in touch with me and my family nothing was a bother. The carers, nurses and unit managers made me feel so welcome they are like a family. I lost my grandmother a few months ago and the whole affair was handled with such dignity. I wish to say Thank you so much for your unconditional support. May

Within hours of my grandma's death, the manager Tracey had instructed that all of my nan's belongings be moved into the public toilet on the corridor as "they needed the room". Two days later we came to collect the belongings and Nan's room was still empty. This manager was heartless and refused to see us as we departed. If I could give less than one star I would. I feel sorry for the staff having that inhuman woman as a manager.

The home manager was recently on Channel 4 news (30.4.2020), whilst being interviewed he stated that the staff had adequate PPE during the Covid-19 outbreak. So why have staff had to beg on social media outlets such as Facebook asking for the public to donate and supply them with protective equipment? Such outrageous lies from the home manager. Shame on you. Avoid this shambles of a company they put profit over protection of staff AND residents.

I've just returned home from The Ridings after my elderly, very poorly friend passed away there this morning after 9 weeks on Ascot Unit. Myself and her family cannot fault the care she has received from both the management and the wonderful nursing staff. Their care has been exemplary. She couldn't have received better care if she had been in Buckingham Palace. For myself, her niece and her daughter in law we cannot thank them enough... not just for the exceptional care they gave to Iris, but for the support they gave to us as her family. Our loved one is finally at peace and we take comfort from knowing that she received the best possible care. Thank you to all of you.

To anyone who may be considering employment at the ridings BEWARE !. I worked at the ridings for many years before having the sense to leave . The home is badly managed , too many chiefs and not enough Indians! Constantly understaffed through out on most shifts . Expect physical and verbal abuse from residents and some relatives on a daily basis making it a very stressful environment to work in . No support is shown or given by management . Backstabbing and bullying is rife throughout the building , there are more dramas than Netflix! The best thing about working there was clocking out after a shift . 😁
