The Retreat Hair & Beauty is by far my favourite salon, offering all the services I need in one place. I've now been visiting for 4 years and travel all the way over from London each time as it's the best around hands down! I usually go in for a cut and nails and from start to finish it's a relaxing and quality experience. With knowledgeable, welcoming and familiar staff, a beautiful setting and quality organic products, it just doesn't compare. I also have very long hair so I'm quite particular about having it cut and I am just so pleased with the results every single time, I won't go anywhere else. 10/10 would recommend. First time getting my hair done here as I was looking for a last minute blow dry. They were super accommodating and managed to fit me in last minute with Derryn! One of the most relaxing head massages ever and the most beautiful blow dry. My hairs naturally curly/wavy so normally stylists just straighten over the blow dry, but she spent the time and managed to completely smooth whilst giving me volume so I was really pleased. Will definitely be booking in with Derryn again! Thank you đ

I have planned this long time ago and debating if I should get my hair colour done or not considering my original dark hair colour(Hazel/chestnut) with so many grey hairs stuck out which doesnât look nice and would be nice for a change to have a lighter colour done to lift my hair colour and eventually to cover all the greys comes with the benefit while give myself a brand new look in the meantime. Sounds so exciting, isnât it! So I browsed on Google for salons nearby and booked one month beforehand for a full head colour appointment with the Retreat and Honestly, I was so looking forward to it. However, it turned out to be the worst experience I ever had so far in Farnham. Thereâre more than so many reasons that I would NEVER ever visit it again: - Came across RACIST I would say, very poor customer service. Per John(the senior hairdresser)quoted, we have not done on a Asian colour before or once, look at it, it is in the central of Farnham, we donât have Asian customers often. (There was another customer sitting right opposite to me having her hair done while this all happened, not nice for her to hear all that as a customer experience) - Colour Consultation, whatever this guy(John) explained how my original hair colour would affect the final outcome colour of a lighter colour that I wish for(which we all knew sort of as a fact, not necessarily to be though if we found a really good experienced hairdresser who knows what theyâre doing), he didnât sound interested at all even tough I have told him it doesnât matter as long as it can be lighter than my original colour and cover all the greys that meets my utmost needs. - I had no choice after all his excuses but decided to go with a chestnut colour in the end thatâs close to my original hair colour just to cover the greys. But by the time of hair colour advised, they left themselves no time to do my hair as next customer booked in right after. John said âshall we leave it is thenâ, literally to excuse himself and I would have to leave. I was appalled by the way how they treat their customers in The Retreat. It is eyes opening.
