Retreat Farm, though in a beautiful rural location is close to Chelmsford and Maldon, both pleasant places for sightseeing and shopping. There are many delightful walks in the area including along the beautiful River Chelmer, which is on the boundary of the campsite. I enjoy cycling and discovered many quiet and scenic country roads on my numerous cycle tours. I can highly recommend this campsite to those who enjoy peace and tranquility.
