The hotel is beautiful, the pool was lovely, the spa was lovely but the menu was overpriced for what we received in terms of quality and portion size and they messed up our spa booking so our friends pregnancy massage was double booked and she didnt receive it all. Lovely location and setting. When we arrived we weren’t able to check-in due to late check-outs earlier in the day. We headed to the bar to wait and was told it was table service. After 25 minutes of waiting outside and trying to catch the attention of two staff members we finally gave up and ordered at the bar. Room facilities basic (no air conditioning, mini fridge etc) but sufficient for our one night stay. Complimentary snack pantry is a nice additional offering. Was informed robes and slippers would be in the room but had to go to reception to request. Food at the restaurant was lovely. Overall we enjoyed our stay but it didn’t give us the disconnecting retreat feeling we were looking for. We found throughout our short stay we were constantly told one thing and then experienced something completely different.

Disappointed that we were given a room for the disabled with a very poor view and overlooked. Pleased that we changed for the second night. Food very good particularly at Yu. Not much space for a relaxed read and corporate presence made us feel unwanted at times
