Service was incredibly slow. 40 minutes from order to receipt of main course.

Weekday couples evening meal at our local Vintage Inns. We were served by a new waitress called May. She was really lovely - smiley, helpful, presentable and very polite. In restaurants, I find there can be a fine line between being attentive / helpful, and being over intrusive, the latter of which can be somewhat tedious when trying to have an intimate meal. Despite being apparently new to post, I have to say she’s got it spot on. She was knowledgable about menu items, and we both felt very well looked after. Her supervisor was also very friendly and helpful. Our food was tasty, hot and served to our table promptly. The only negative is that it’s a little on the pricey side for midweek pub dining. However, we had no complaints and left sufficiently satiated.

Found us a table on a busy Friday night. Food all good with service second to none considering it was a Friday and a lot of covers.
