What a wonderful pub, on the edge of Cannock Chase. Lovely in doors and large garden for those sunnier days. The selection of beverages is wide and interesting. Super friendly and helpful staff that are happy to engage with the customers, I like that and rate it as a differentiator. I would highly recommend and will be returning, next time to eat to. As a bonus I think you can stop here too. It's great location to explore the area. Update, its still great and it spring so there is no excuse for not giving it a try. There are lots of outside seat to catch a Ray or two. Walkability: Just down from Castle Ring and there is a bus stop right out side.

What a fantastic place. Went here at the spur of the moment and ended up stopping all night. Staff were very friendly, tent outside with a group playing. There's also an outside bar and a pizza/burger shack. There were no chavs / trouble at all. Good food and good prices. Just bare in mind, it's a dog friendly pub. But we had no problem with it
