    If I could level NO STARS I would. Worst experience this morning from road side recovery. Miserable guy turned up to take the wheel off my car and put on his space saver so I can get to Kwik fit. As I'm a wheelchair user I stayed in the car for the duration of him being present. He came with a miserable look on his face (a smile doesn't cost you a thing), he took off my wheel, opened my car boot and threw it in like a piece of scrap causing a dent to my boot floor. Never want to interact with RAC after this mornings experience

    It amazes me how companies like these are legally permitted to operate. It seems like they put themselves in direct opposition to their customer and that at every level and every interaction, they are at war with you, making life as difficult as they possibly can. It makes for a horrible experience. But RAC are the worst

    Great service, I was a woman on my own and broke down on a duel carriageway, Gaz the RAC man (not a contractor) arrived within 45 minutes, no access to a garage on a Friday night so took me and the car home. I had great communication throughout and even had the same chap collect my car from home and deliver it to the garage the next day. Everyone involved was super helpful and if you get Gaz, he’s a top bloke!

    Very poor service. Initially a very grumpy individual turned up, snapping at me. Then refused to tow my car as it was "too far". Then told I had to wait 7 hours for another. When I was eventually towed they refused to take me the last 13 miles home. The guy sat in the car park eating a MacDonalds for an hour while I was marooned on the M1. BEWARE

    Awful service. My car had an electrical fault that meant I couldn't legally tow my caravan, diagnosed by the RAC mechanic. He confirmed the caravan would be recovered. I made many, many expensive phone calls with very rude unhelpful call handlers who never called back when they said they would and never actioned what they said they would resulting in me having to repeatedly call back again and again. I found out by accident that a recovery agent was taking my caravan to secure storage not my home address. The driver called me to find out where the caravan was because the RAC gave him the wrong address. I did not trust the RAC so I drove to the secure storage to check my caravan was ok. The recovery agent arrived with my caravan on the back of a standard van with a normal tow bar & 13 point electrical socket. The reason I state this is because I got very, very rudely told by a stroppy unhelpful call handler that they needed 'specialist recovery' for my caravan, another lie. The secure storage was closed, the driver said it wasn't his responsibility, he had done his job. He was going to leave the caravan in the street. If I hadn't been there goodness knows what would have happened to my caravan. I had to arrange my own recovery. The RAC customer services were equally useless, they didn't even see why all of this was so wrong...equally rude & unhelpful. Do yourself a favour and go to another provider!

    11 hours! Broke down 11:00 I was given an eta of 14:30. @14:45 I was given no update. @16:00 I was told someone would be with me 19:05. @19:30 I'm told 21:00. @22:15 someone finally arrives. 2 major faults here: 1. RAC took 5 hours to even find a recovery company to come. 2. The recovery company quoted 19:05 for pickup and came over 3 hours late. Clearly the RAC needs more "trusted partners" and needs to pick the companies they work with better. I'm not paying £35 a month for this anymore, and I hope no one else will either.

    Broke down on our way back from Holiday in Cornwall today. Had a 5 hr wait for a patrol to turn up, which was a pain - but apparently today has been busy - but when Deon arrived; he was absolutely superb. He had picked up parts that might be required before coming to me and managed to replace the broken belt and tensioner by the side of the road, in terrible weather conditions. I'm really grateful that I didn't have to have the van recovered all the way back to Reading. Top bloke, a real asset to RAC

    Dangerously incompetent &no resources!! Think twice ,read the reviews don’t fall into the trap! 8 hours and no recovery! Try to convince me to leave keys in glove compartment with car worth 60k unlocked!? Then try to convince me for recovery part way only. This company is not a recovery company! It’s not got resources to fulfil their obligations. You’ll be lucky if you get assistance! Dangerously incompetent! Service 000.
