Very sorry to write this as I rarely write reviews and only tend to leave positive ones. Went for a Sunday late lunch around 3pm and sat outside. I had a beef roast and it pretty much failed on all fronts. There was only one slice of beef, cut wrongly along the grain of the joint, making it hard to cut on my plate and very chewy. There were just 2 potatoes, one small and one big, and one big undercooked broccoli stem. The cabbage was so over-salted it was inedible, and the yorkshire pudding was rock solid, overcooked and dark brown. Cost £20. My wife had the main salad which only consisted of small tomatoes, a few croutons and some rocket, in a bowl suitable for a starter - cost £17!! My advice for anyone wanting to eat here is to check other customers meals first before you decide to order. Sorry Queens but your chef doesn't know how to prepare and cook ingredients, and the management has no pride in delivering quality meals to the table as most other pub landlords wouldn't allow this to be served.

Was very disappointed with the food … ordered the same risotto last time and it was amazing and then on this visit it was unbelievably bad. It was the worst risotto I have ever eaten .. rest of the food was also very ok ..lacking any flavours .. staff was pleasant ..stretched though as place was full

Lovely little pub! My wife and baby son and I had a dinner there; our server’s name was Maia and she was super helpful and attentive with things for our son. Also the food was excellent - I’m usually a little underwhelmed by steaks in pubs but this one was cooked to perfection!

Nice pub … friendly staff … amazing location … BUT avoid the food. Absolutely terrible. Restaurant prices - really really poor - it’s like London pubs from the 1980’s
