The 3 session throwing course was well paced to give time to develop skills in throwing, trimming and glazing. Sarah was able to share her time equally between the three of us, all of whom had differing levels of skill and prior experience, so that we all came away with new knowledge. I'm really looking forward to seeing the pieces which come out of the kiln and definitely want to continue learning. Very high quality tea and cakes too! Many thanks Sarah!

Wow what an amazing life experience! Four total beginner friends did a day workshop with Sarah to celebrate a 30th birthday. Beautiful and light studio full of inspiring pieces, careful/kind tuition, plenty of time to try throwing and hand-making pottery, a huge and delicious lunch served on platters Sarah had made! Sarah strikes exactly the right balance in encouraging and helping and giving you plenty of space to give it all a go. Best day I had all year - and then we came back to glaze the pieces and that was amazing too! The reason for 4 stars is that I would say is that communication after about future parties (because of the enthusiasm) wasn’t as good. It seemed quite cold, and prices went up immediately and were told we had used too much clay last time. So I haven’t been back and decided to go elsewhere.

I received this pottery course for my birthday. Completed three sessions today with a friend. Aim of course to produce 3-4 pieces of pottery. What an amazing thing to experience. Sarah is a knowledgeable, friendly, clearly very talented lady. She encourages you even when the clay seems to have legs and goes off Piste! I would thoroughly recommend this experience particularly if you what to learn something new. Thank you Sarah for your incredible patience and ensuring we completed the overall aim of the course.

What a fantastic throwing course. Thank you Sara for simplifying something so challenging and making it so enjoyable. It's wonderful to learn new skills and even more exciting to take the finished pieces home. Already having a cuppa from my lovely little mug. :-)

I've just completed a pottery wheel throwing course with Sarah and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. Over three sessions I got to experience throwing, trimming and then glazing my pots. Sarah is a fantastic tutor and her studio is a lovely space in which to spend some time being creative. I enjoyed it so much I've just signed up for another course!

I was given a throwing course as a birthday present and was a little apprehensive as I have never done anything like it before. But a can honestly say I enjoyed every minute, Sarah is so lovely and helps you whenever needed. It turns out I’m not going to be the next star of Pottery Throw Down, but I did come away with four pots and a huge sense of achievement. I would definitely recommend having a go.

Having not done any pottery for over 30 years, I was rather nervous when my family signed me up for a 3 session throwing course. I didn’t need to have worried though as Sarah couldn’t have been more helpful or encouraging and it all came back to me. The sessions were really fun and relaxed and there is plenty of hands-on help as Sarah taught in a class of 2. There was even time for a chat over a cup of tea and cake. Thank you Sarah for a great experience and I look forward to collecting my fired pieces! If you are thinking of giving pottery a go, give Sarah a call and get signed up!

I have been attending hand building classes with Sarah at Pottery Corner for 3 years now. They are the highlight of my week. I come away having had a chance to be creative and feel totally relaxed. Sarah is amazing at helping you create your best work. She has wonderful knowledge of clay and gives you lots of help, but she is also great at helping you develop your own ideas and creations. I have recently done a throwing course with her and as expected it was brilliant. Lots of new skills learnt!

For anyone wanting to try out throwing clay for the first time, this is a MUST. We signed up for three classes which included throwing, trimming and glazing. Sarah is a wonderful tutor and the enthusiasm for her craft is infectious. We both came away with pots we are delighted with that will remind us regularly of very happy times at the Fishbourne Pottery Corner!! Thank you Sarah. It was a real highlight amid all the Covid chaos!
