I had such a fabulous time learning from such a kind, welcoming and knowledgeable teacher. Claire has such a way with the craft and was able to help me really get a feel for the clay. Her amazing studio is such a calming place to learn and I’ve come away knowing so much more about pottery. I spent two wonderful very instructive hours with Claire yesterday. In the past every time I tried the wheel, I ended up making ashtrays and I don't even smoke! Yesterday I made two lovely perfect bowls thanks to Claire. Claire is a great teacher with much expertise and a lot of patience. She explains things very clearly and shows you exactly where to position your hands. I loved it and I highly recommend her tuition.

What a great morning we had as part of our Mother/Daughter shared Birthday treat. A good excuse to roll your sleeves up and have fun. Thanks to Claire we each produced a respectable pot to be glazed! What a Fantastic experience!! Claire is so friendly, knowledgeable, patient and helpful. I had never used a potters wheel before but with Claire’s guidance it went very well, and I was very pleased with how things turned out. I bought the experience as a gift for my Mum’s birthday and it was a fun thing to do together. I highly recommend Claire’s pottery classes/experience to anyone.

As a first go at pottery I had the best few hours with Claire and will definitely be booking more sessions. She's so friendly and welcoming and her pottery studio is so cosy, you feel immersed in the experience. It is wonderful to watch her work so skillfully and then patiently walk you through your own go! Such a good teacher, would highly recommend.

We used the Portable Pottery Company for a team building event this week. I cannot recommend them highly enough from the initial booking, to the arrangements on the day everything was seamless. The standard of teaching from Claire and Chloe was incredible, unbelievably we all created pots, using one of the three potters wheels that they supplied, that once they have been fired we can take home. We were also given the opportunity to do clay pressings and these too will be available for us after firing. If you want a competitively priced event suitable for all age ranges and abilities then this is the one for you!

A gift from my daughter. What a fabulous experience, from start to finish, truth is we didn't want it to finish. Claire is someone who imeaditly made us, feel relaxed, her instruction is clear, and detailed, without complicating things. We just had an amazing afternoon with Claire for our daughters 21st Birthday! We were a group of eight (5 boys and 3 girls), taking turns to throw clay in pairs while sipping Bubbly and petting Izzy the staffy. What a wonderful way to spend time with people you love, doing something new and creative. Thoroughly entertaining and would highly recommend to anyone!
