Ate at the hotel restaurant, and the food was great. I would definitely recommend the pie. I didn't stay at the hotel, but looked nice.

Highlights is they had good food which came in really good time, well made. They also provided me with a breastfeeding room. Reasons for 2 stars: priced the menu they give you incorrectly then charge you more saying it’s a pricing issue- so guys either print new paper menus or charge the amount advertised. Staff not trained appropriately to offer the right service in the barn. It was just terrible to be honest. Third reason, dont write spiel on your menu about why you add on a 12.5% discretionary charge for service on your so that your staff can be paid appropriately- this actually gives off the impression that you’re a hungry corporate business who doesn’t care about its employees. Pay your staff properly as a business and the tips will be for going above and beyond or offering good service as they should be. Not for them to be able to take home an appropriate salary.

Sadly we popped in today after visiting Wilton house to grab a pizza a drink from nole as we have had them in the past and are usually great. Staff circling everywhere but not really doing anything, had to ask for menus after waiting for ages, they took our order of a pizza and fries came back about ten minutes later to tell us that they couldn't serve us fries as it was past 3pm and that part of the kitchen and menu was shut now. Another table opposite got told the same. About half an hour later a big table ordered 6 portions of fries and calami and they got served! How is that fair. Also had to ask for the bill where they slammed on a 12.5% service charge.. reluctantly paid it, complained to the lady who took our bill about how it wasn't really fair about the chips, she didn't say anything to me as I don't think she understood and walked off. As we were about to leave, there was a staff member hovering, she couldn't wait to clear our table and it just felt odd. Real shame as it was a lovely day and lovely food, just bad service.
