Don't expect the staff to care one bit about what you the customer wants. You want your drink WITH your food? No way. You want your food in a reasonable time? No happening. You want to highlight you're unhappy? Nobody has working ears suddenly. Best place for the most sullen and unlikeable barmaid I've ever had the misfortune to see. 2 stars because the decor while needing work is OK, garden, while unloved is OK, food is fair.

A very warm welcome when we entered the restaurant. The ambience of the Park Gate was great which led to us having a great evening. The menu was varied with a lot of choices, we were all very happy with our selections which were cooked to perfection. Pork Belly spot on! Neros our waiter was very personable and informative about dishes from the menu adding to our evenings enjoyment. Thank you for a great evening we will definitely recommend the Park Gate Inn and return in the future.

Friendly staff, great service, delicious food, lovely setting. My friend claims it was the best lasagne she's had in a pub (and it's her go to meal!), pie of the day was delicious. Kids meal was a good size (too much for a 3 year old). Staff were accommodating and polite. I'll go back

Hello, Been few times before and was absolutely perfect,but yesterday around 16:00 was the worst and don't think we are going back,really dissapointed. Pub was empty and we asked for a table in the right side to can see the garrden,she said "no as there are only two staff working and cannot sit in the other area"then they offer us another table in the other side were was also empty in a dark corner next to a table with 6 people,so.we did not even have space to go to toilet and always have to disturb the others. When food came one of the burger's bun wasn't cooked at all was just very white like you take it out from the freezer,called the waitress and asked if can tell the chef to have a look as this is not cooked and her answer was:I can ask but is not going to make much diffrence. So my cousin couln't eat the burger and definetely waitress attitude really put us down. I chose this place and told them to come as is the best nearby ,so a bit of customer service training really need to be put in place. I should have take pictures :(

We live in Bearsted up the road and come here semi - regularly as the food is good value, but can be hit and miss. Not tonight though! We had the lamb, the pork belly and the steak pie and all were exceptional. So much so I felt duty bound to come straight home and post my review to commend the chef and team. Thanks and keep it up!
