Went for a quick lunch. Place was deserted but to be expected around 2pm on a weekday. Ordered the steak sandwich which comes with either chips or side salad. Freshly cooked, hot chips and delicious steak sandwich! Absolutely yummy. Will go again.

Nice setting, large, clean and welcoming interior and friendly staff. We arrived as a party of 4 with 4 dogs and were guided to a well lit round table in a windowed area next to a large fireplace. Service was slow, it took around 15 minutes from being seated to being asked if we wanted drinks, having ordered drinks and food at the same time (starters of scallops x 2, arancini and mushrooms with main courses of linguini (as there was no chicken curry), signature burgers x 2 and duo of lamb (we all wanted duo of lamb but were told there was only one left)). Drinks arrived in reasonable time but food seemed slow. The starters were all excellent and well received, the duo of lamb was described as superb and the linguini excellent. The burgers were excellent but slightly marred by a burnt aftertaste in one of the sauces. Desserts included 2 creme brulees and a crumble with custard, all were very enjoyable, however the creme brulees could have done with a thicker caramelised topping. All in all, a very enjoyable early evening meal marred only by the lack of and slow service.
