  We had, what some would consider an absurd, true story to tell and Oxford Editors helped make it a reality. We had tried somewhere else but they were no use so approached Oxford Editors, I cannot say a bad word about the team, they have all been fantastic. Cherry has been amazing, always ready to answer any question with excellent advice. We enjoyed the experience so much that we are looking at our next project and will be utilising their services again!

The Oxford Editors were happy to accommodate my needs and we arrange a time and a price, which included a bulk discount. Cherry was a superb tutor and helped me flesh out my ideas to establish something more concrete.   Having researched the various Literary Consultancies online, Oxford Editors seemed to offer the best value for the services included. I was not disappointed. I sent them the 2nd draft of my novel, having taken it as far as I could without outside input. From my initial phone conversation to the delivery of the final report, they were positive, encouraging and clear - what more could you ask for? Although it took a phonecall to chase up the report, when it arrived it was incredibly helpful and has given me a clear direction on where to go next with my writing. Follow up queries were handled quickly and they even emailed me a few weeks later to check I had no more questions at this stage. Would highly recommend their services if you are looking for a more personal, individual approach.

  In our hour of need, the Oxford Editors came to our rescue. Having written one book we had accidentally written another. Realising that it needed improvement but did not know how to take it to the next level. We needed to get the story to give more impact. Going for mentoring was the best decision for us but also the book as we learned a lot during this process that we will carry forward into future work.   I sent an early draft of my memoir/self-help book called ‘Shout it from the Rooftops – A Terminal Cancer Healing’ to the Oxford Editors. Cherry Mosteshar annotated my script with detailed comments and sent me a six-page report full of helpful advice designed to help me to produce a well-crafted, interestingly written book. She was very encouraging about the quality of my writing and the overall purpose of sharing my experiences of being diagnosed with a terminal cancer, and working on its healing. Cherry was particularly concerned for me to re-structure the narrative in such a way as to make it more readable and comprehensible, but also took me into such areas as scene-setting, dialogue, and characterisation. She explained not only what she felt was required, but demonstrated by examples, giving me the confidence that, if I could do what she was suggesting, my book would be published within a short time. That has now happened, and my book has reached numbers of cancer sufferers, their friends and families, and sits on the shelf of my local library as well as in bookshops. Such a joy! And I am really grateful to Cherry for helping me to get it out there.

  I am an author of five books. After having a disastrous experience with Cornerstones I chose Ms Cherry Mosteshar-Gharai to edit my new book Golestan, The garden of fond memories. The experience was just wonderful. Not only Cherry is a delight to work with but a fantastic monitor who in fact taught me a lot more about writing than I knew.   In 2014, I hurriedly threw together a first draft of my first book. Like all novices, I thought it would only need a bit of polishing to become fit for others to read. After all, I told myself, I'd been a professional journalist for several years and didn't need that much help (cue audience laughter). I "did a Google" and found The Oxford Editors. I liked their professional website (and, I have to admit, their Oxford credentials) and requested a manuscript assessment. Dexter Petley took on my unpolished and slightly chaotic manuscript. After the agreed six weeks, I received his assessment. It told me EXACTLY what I needed to hear. First: that my manuscript wasn't bad... for a first draft. But because it was a first draft, it was full of silly punctuation and grammatical mistakes, which he pointed out in detail. He also gave lots of style tips, which coming from a fellow journalist was very helpful. Most importantly, he pointed out that my book suffered from the much-dreaded 'sag' in the middle, which I took as a fatal flaw. However, Dexter also did me an great favour: he not only gave several useful suggestions on dealing with the 'sag', he also gave me heaps of encouragement. Over the next few years, his positive comments stopped me from giving up during my many, many exhausted, scratchy-eyed re-writes of the book. It paid off: Climbing the Seven Volcanoes received a publishing offer, and comes out next month (April 2020)! I highly recommend The Oxford Editors.
