As a child thirty five years ago, I wore orthodontic braces. Each visit, I dreaded. I missed school because I had bleeding gums, mouth sores and painful teeth. How surprised I was that technology has improved so much. Similarly, there is this new breed of dentist-orthodontists who are not literally heavy handed, but are calm and welcoming to both myself as a parent and to my child the patient. We had no traumatic experience that caused our son to cry or regret having braces. No anxiety was experienced in having to go to the dentist again. He was "cool" about the appointment. The place was also clean and had no scent and smell. Dr Virdi had able assistants who are respectful and helpful towards him and us. The reception team also accommodated our need for after school appointments. Our son considers Dr Virdi a friend. We are grateful to him.
