A lovely place to have a slice of homemade cake & a cup of coffee or tea. Lots of parking, Disabled access, although going through the shop might be a bit tricky as some of the walk ways seem quite narrow. They have a shop full of housewares, a few plush toys, a very small aviary, compact garden centre, & an aquarium right next door. High chairs for little ones, but if your child is feeling particularly boisterous they could easily break something in the shop, as there are many breakable items within child reach, best to take them out to the garden centre much more room & out in the fresh air! But be prepared to dig deep as it's quite pricey here.

The orangery has always been my go to place to take friends but I will nit have hot food there again...just cake Once for semi warm food to be served may just be a one off but I went a couple of weeks ago...my scrambled egg was literally stone cold...they were busy but that is not an excuse and it isn't cheap...can get nicer in a local cafe!

Absolutely awful experience here today. We used to love coming here (even though they are ALWAYS difficult about accommodating diabetic dietary needs with swapping items) but today out breakfast was appalling. Sausages undercooked, pink right through the middle on my sons plate, slobbery bacon, untoasted toast, and a pile of rocket so huge, presumably making it look like a generous helping of food. We got a refund for the breakfasts, although we didn’t refund the drinks even though we didn’t get the chance to drink them. Apparently, according to the lady who took our order, the chef doesn’t like it when you are diabetic and ask to swap out the carbs, as it’s too long a receipt that comes through to the kitchen, and he gets flustered. Well I’m afraid if you’re paying £12 for a cooked breakfast I would expect the food offering to be worth what we paid. This really needs to change. We will never go back! A massive case of style over substance.

Sadly, the food is over priced and poor quality. The service is also questionable. You definitely get the feel that the owners are trying to make it high end, but you definitely don't get this. The cafe area is also quite grubby. Such a shame as if could be really nice. My personal experience, I ordered the eggs benedict, it came to me with a huge hair on it. I sent it back and the same plate of food came back covered in more greenery. Shocking service. Never again!
