Nothing special, extremely over priced for what it is. Grumpy staff who all seemed very not interested in anything. Very protective over the napkins too… got told they come out with the food when I asked for one to clean up a spillage. If there is a sign saying you need a table number before you order, this isn’t obvious… causing a number of people (including us) to go off to find a table while holding up the queue. Might as well spend an extra 2 minutes driving down the road to a pub.

I went for the eggs Royal, it was dreadful, eggs were hard , the muffin/bread, was so hard I couldn't cut it, the smoked salmon was in my estimation not salmon, I have never eaten salmon that was grey and full of fat. We will by pass the restaurant in the future, very disappointed, with a descent restaurant garsons would be an all round great experience.

Honestly doesn't even deserve a 1 star rating. My husband had a full English breakfast which he wasn't happy with - the hash browns were not cooked but the rest was overdone and cold. My eggs Benedict generally put me off eating the rest. The hollandaise just tasted like mayonnaise so it wasn't fresh by any means and the egg was so snotty I felt sick. Don't recommend. Overpriced for rubbish food.

Visited The orangery tea house several times and have always been pleased. However the most recent time we visited at 4.30 on a Saturday hoping to grab a hot drink ahead of it closing at 5.30 as stated on the website only to see upon arrival that actually it was closed which was disappointing
