We didn't book as we weren't sure what time we would exit the Kensington Palace fashion exhibition. The M'aitre D'y was haughty and unhelpful in his manner. He said we could have a starter only. We were bemused but reluctantly agreed. We had eaten there on our last visit and had enjoyed a wonderful lunch. The huge room laid out for tea had just 3 tables in use. It was only 1 pm. We were refused coffee on the pretext that the coffee machine wasn't working. If they can afford to deny and upset customers in this way then good luck to them. We certainly shan't be going back again.

We just came here for a small Easter breakfast and had a lovely experience! We tried/would recommend the elderflower cordial, vanilla chai, maple bacon, and avocado toast. The sun was shining, the birds chirping, and we enjoyed the gentle piano music and general atmosphere! We were happy that we could sit right next to the gardens out on the patio. Would love to go back for lunch instead next time to try some of their desserts.
