Loved this bar, friendly welcoming staff who went out of the way to make me the cocktail I was really fancying on a hot day even though they were in between changing cocktail menu! Appreciated that. Beautiful location, we sat outside on the road watching the world go by and enjoying the views of the sea and beach area opposite. Also really nice garden to the back. I also snacked on some whitebait which were delicious and served efficiently. The food coning out looked so good and we will definatley return on our next visit.

Went nice and early, 7pm, sat in a nice cosy area and enjoyed Whitebait starter followed by Bass with super Vegetables. Friendly staff served us with a smile.... What more can one ask for...

Reading positive reviews, my friends and I went for lunch and ordered fish and chips for 3 adults and a child's meal. Sadly the food was terrible. We have never seen such small portions (exactly the same size as the child plate although that actually had more fish in the fishfingers and more chips) and the 'chips' on the adult plates were not chips at all but 7 odd and over cooked tasteless potato wedges. They were quick to say that the portion sizes were tiny because they were 'tapas style' but this is not stated on the menu nor expected for a £10 adult fish and chip lunch. The child's fishfingers were also inedible - literally grey and rubbery inside so really quite concerning. The only time for any of us that we have been for lunch - and instantly gone somewhere else for lunch afterwards as we were all left starving and quite miserable from the experience. The staff were friendly but sadly this could not make up for the food.

Found this pub while staying on a local campsite. Good food and atmosphere. Burger and chips was delicious. Wife had sea bass, which was equally delicious. Sunny beer garden and dog friendly. Would return if in the area again.
