Bank holiday Monday. Turned up at 11.18am and was turned away for breakfast rudely when breakfast apparently finished at 11.15am. Had travelled far and received no apology. Not a great way to build a reputation :-(

Friendly service, and well portioned and tasty food but most importantly a magnificent view. A meal, drink and view and only had to spend £20. Would definitely recommend.

As a family we went to The Old Guinea for a meal to celebrate my parents anniversary. The food was amazing and came out in prompt timing. There was a slight issue with one of the pizza's which a waiter came and told us about immediately to explain the wait. I am a bit of a foodie so like to try different types of pizza and this one seemed like the formula of the recipee was different. Although the end result of this pizza was not appealing, the staff and chef took good care of us and allowed us to order anything else of the menu we liked, while knocking off the pizza from the bill and offering us free desserts. At the end of the night we were met by a very apologetic waiter who was kind and wanted to make sure that were satisfied with our meal and also provided some reassurance that their chefs will be taking a look at the recipee for the pizza gone wrong. The reaction of the staff and the service we were provided was great and very respectable and definatly bought some good will. Aside from the pizza incident, it is a 10/10 spot and I will definitely be going again.
