Very enjoyable stay here last weekend. Pleasant and helpful staff. Clean rooms with good facilities. Lovely breakfast. We had the burgers in the restaurant on Saturday night and they were excellent. Would definitely recommend.

On first visit a rare ribeye steak was ordered but a medium / well done sirloin was served - a very inexperienced server I think. On second visit only two staff to cover bar and service and all real ale sold out - suggests the pub is in financial difficulty

Sam was amazing as our waiter today, very friendly and attentive! We sat next to the window which was great (we love people watching). The food was impeccable, perfectly cooked burger with extras and the gammon was to die for!! Hats off to the chef, Em, for an excellent lunch. Will be back soon!

Had a lovely meal here after a very long drive. Our food was really good thanks to Em the chef; my steak was cooked medium rare to perfection and the service was fantastic too thanks to Sam our waiter who was very friendly and attentive. It’s too far from home for us to return but would definitely recommend it if you’re in the area!
