Beautiful detailed old custom house made into a Fuller pub... Staff are friendly and helpful. Decor is old fashioned leather seating, wooden table and chairs and even table side ordering from your smart phone. Service was quick and prompt. Cost was very reasonable and the hock sandwich and side serving of chips was made just right. Outside seating is available as well. Would definitely recommend a visit if you are near.

It's good enough but not my sort of place. I firmly believe I'm too old for this place.

Visiting Portsmouth for 3 days - stopped on a lunch hour for wine and tapas, lovely experience and decided to visit for evening meal on the strength of interesting menu choices. Reality was totally different. As cheap pub grub as you could get anywhere for not cheap pub prices. We sat inside in a room with very unpleasant smell. Certainly an experience we will not be repeating

Brilliant time. I had a lovely server call Dee who made it their mission to deliver the best possible service. And it was achieved. It was a date night with my partner to remember. As a chef who know how difficult it can be in the business, Dee made it look effortless. Lovely food, lovely service and made it a date night to remember. :)
