Like it under the new Chef. Menu is much nicer, but pricey if you think of this as a pub. Enjoyed it here nonetheless!

Had an amazing dinner at the Oarsman last night. As part of their guest chef season they had Henry Harris in the kitchen who turned out some fabulous French food. The service was excellent and the choice of wines was spot on for the food being served. The Oarsman just keeps getting better and I can’t wait to find out who will be the next guest chef to grace their kitchen. I was at the Ben Tish night a few weeks ago which was also excellent. I would recommend keeping an eye on their Instagram account for news of the next event.

Great ambience here, very cosy. The waiter was hilarious, so charismatic. My food was delicious. My friends food, not so much. She had a chewy bavette steak, but they graciously changed it. Will go again.
