Very fortunate to have been introduced and treated by Stephen. Initially I was doing physio sessions with Rachel at the Perfect Balance who was managing my lower back pain super well but she then referred me to Stephen to understand better the cause of the pain, the reason for its reoccurrence, and whether there is a long term treatment for it as I have been having it on and off for around three years now. I did around 5 sessions with Stephen, but from the first session he was able to pinpoint exactly the reason behind it and he started the treatment right then. Pretty much 80% of my lower back pain had gone after the first two sessions and now I am almost pain free which is amazing after so long. I am now continuing my physio sessions to regain strength and planning to get back to the gym and slowly starting cycling and running. If you were to see Stephen, I would advise that you share your medical history and be open as much as you can with him. Stephen will listen very carefully and go the extra mile to accommodate and tailor the treatment to fit with your situation. I would also advise to ask lots of questions, I personally found myself understanding a lot about my situation and my body from him which I find quite complex yet really interesting.

I had issues with my ribs. I had unbearable pain that resulted in muscle spasms in my chest, shoulder and back. Within just 2 sessions with Stephen, he sorted the issue and has helped with forming a plan to help prevent it from happening again. Thanks to Stephen who I'm grateful to have found.

The diagnosis and subsequent treatment I have received from Stephen at the Oak Practice has been a key component of my recent success in gaining a Boston qualifying and ‘Good For Age’ marathon time. I had been struggling for many months with a dysfunction in the way my left leg muscles were firing while walking and running – it was like I was lifting a deadweight and could be painful. I had been working on muscle imbalances per diagnoses from some local physios and osteos without any sustained joy and I came to the Oak Practice hoping for greater success. Within one short session of assessment, Stephen looked at the issue afresh and identified the real root issue – a long-standing pinched nerve in my back that my body had been doing a good job of concealing and working around. The treatment arising from this superior understanding of my issue was fundamentally different and I sincerely appreciate the wide range of techniques that Stephen was able to bring to bear within the Oak Practice premises without fuss and with speed. The fix did not happen overnight but I, at all times, Stephen understood my need and was invested in my successful resolution. The body is such a complex system and it’s been a real pleasure to have access to Stephen’s deep expertise and ability to see beyond the symptom. I would recommend Oak Practice to anyone.

I can only praise the help that Stephen gave me. I went to him with an issue with my leg and foot. Having a number of sessions with him and his running coach, I was able to complete the London Marathon in a relatively good time for a 55 year old! Stephen was professional, took time to listen to my issue and treated me accordingly! Thank you!

I can’t speak highly enough of Stephen. My husband and I see him for Osteopathy and he always works miracles. But most recently my 8 year old son has seen him for NLP with quite life changing results. Thoroughly and wholeheartedly recommend.

I was introduced to Stephens Practice by my Pilates Instructor, Jasmin Perrow. I was suffering shoulder pain and impingement causing sleepless nights. My first session with him was reassuring and I came away feeling positive about making a recovery. After continued treatment from Stephen and with the help of an escalating exercise regime from Mohini at Perfect Balance Clinic I can finally say that I have now resumed cycling and swimming and I have greatly improved shoulder movement and much reduced pain. I wouldn’t hesitate in returning to Stephen with any injury, he is personable, dedicated and aims to get results. What more could one ask?

I have seen Stephen several times over the last few years for a variety of sports injuries. He is always quick to pinpoint the root cause, create a comprehensive plan to solve the problem and prevent further recurrence and gives me confidence to continue as normal. I have always been amazed at the speed and ease of recovery - most recently I had a grade 2 tear in my MCL and through Stephen's diligence, attention and full suite of solutions, I was able to ski without a second thought a few weeks later - quite remarkable! I trust his judgement and advice entirely - for example having foot surgery some time ago through a contact of his and I also know that the Oak Practice always uses the best products, the best methods and stays up to date with current thinking. I cannot recommend it highly enough to be honest.

Life Changing. I was first introduced to Stephen through a friend who spoke so highly of his abilities and urged me to seek out help for my back which i had been struggling with for a number of years. 6 sessions later and I am able to work and play golf pain-free which I never previously thought possible. I personally cannot recommend The Oak Practice enough to anyone who is struggling with pain and have already recommended 2 people to him. I have seen numerous people to treat my various injuries but have never met someone so personable and knowledgeable.
