Unsurprisingly the reviews are all positive as you can't write a review on the product page unless you're asked to, so they don't ask unhappy customers! We ordered a Superking bed frame from here last month and when it arrived it was really poor quality. The frame itself was quite flimsey and bendy for a solid oak frame, it was actually smaller than the King size bed we already had and the sides are not very thick or sturdy. When we asked to return this item as it is not fit for purpose, we have been charged a £45 fee. Safe to say we will never shop here or recommend the company to anyone.

Fantastic 5 star all round. We purchased the Westcott Solid Wood Bed in King Size last year. The service at the time was brilliant and the staff were very helpful esp when we encountered difficulties with the finance company. The bed is beautiful, well built and solid, everything we wanted. Unfortunately a slat broke recently, one contact and the OBS sorted out a new slat to be sent out to us straight away. Fantastic after care! Thank you

I purchased CHESTER MEDIUM OAK OTTOMAN STORAGE BED FRAME - 3FT SINGLE Three years ago, with constant use @ 20 plus stone the metal frame became distorted. I requested to buy the frame, however the oak bed store sent within a few days a new metal bed frame free of charge, for the item and delivery. Best after sales survive, I have had in over 50 years of shopping. Fantastic product, great value for money, excellent assembly instruction and outstanding after sales service. I chose to order a matress from this company as they had great customer service reviews and wanted to support a small family buisness. The delivery was easy to atrange and the drived friendly, helpful and cheerful in his communications. Unfortunately, through no fault of theirs ( just down to my strange and ever increasing allergies) I had an unexpected allergic reaction to the mattress whilst waiting for it to fully unfurl over the weekend ( mattresses from this store are delivered rolled and you are instructed to wait 24 - 72 hrs before using) Their customer service people contacted me at their earliest opportunity to resolve the matter. Unfortunatley their initial message did not get through to mr (again not their fault - this time an issue with e-mail filters) I was getting quite stressed by this point that I was not going to be able to resolve things with them , however I contacted them again and they called me by phone to explain the steps they had already taken to resolve everything and that they had already written to say they will be refunding me. They could not have been kinder, more patient, polite or understanding and were very apologetic, despite not being responsible for any of it. They even went above and beyond by sending me a link to an article suggesting products I may not be allergic to as they weren't able to provide an alternative for me. What service and kindness! I really wish I was able to make a purchase from them as they have proven to be a very ethical, lovely and helpful company - quite a rare find these days! I shall recommend them to anyone I know locally looking to purchase and am incredibly grateful for the care and understanding they have shown me when feeling quite stressed and unwell.

Having been severely let down by a national ‘oak’ furniture shop, we cancelled our order and found The Oak Bed Store online. We ordered our super king bed online on Good Friday and it has been delivered today(!)(25th) by super delivery men….much earlier than expected! My husband put the bed together on his own and it took him about 1.5 hours (not bad!). It looks fabulous! So 5*****! Fabulous service! Thank you!
