I would like to thank those involved who have placed a plaque bearing my name on beside the "Heritage Collection" The Norton Motorcycle Co. Limited have continued to not put a visible plaque it would appear in the Factory Foyer. Here is in effect part of the wording when selling the 55 bikes I put, "which is a proviso of the sale of the bikes is that I would like a visible plaque somewhere at the area where a number of the bikes might be displayed. The wording we can agree on but ideally along the lines of: The Historic Nortons on display have been purchased from Ian Loram's diverse and varied collection showing Norton's unapproachable contribution to motorcycling" So to put into perspective more than one member of staff was aware about this and now some of the bikes have been at the factory almost a year. On enquiring earlier on this year that the plaque was in situ to John Hogan he said he would look into it. I pointed out if it was not already in place I wanted it to be there for the Norton Owners Club visit which he said he would sort it out and have it done for then. All who I asked who attended the factory visit have said they did not see the plaque, I asked the following day for a Norton member of staff to photograph the plaque for me and send to me and was told John Hogan had been informed. I have still not seen a photo and had no communication to say what the present situation is. I really want to see that it is in place as I had a major cancer operation in January, followed by complications and last night I had a DVT. I find it dreadful and quite unacceptable! I loaned the factory a bike for display in their Foyer almost a year ago and have a loan agreement with certain conditions. I must point out I have not made any charge for the loan of the bike in other words an act of goodwill. However I have tried many times by email after requesting the bikes return to know the date and morning or afternoon arrival. I just get no response at all. I have just had a major cancer operation on 5th January which they are aware of so find this completely not very compassionate. I need to know the date of return as I have a number of tests and Doctors appointments. Am I being unreasonable? I tried for the best part of an hour to speak to somebody at the factory. and all you get is the music with a message of "your call is very important to us. And over 200 staff, quite pathetic.

Ian has been, for many years, a staunch ambassador for the Norton marque. His assistance with assembling your Heritage Collection should at least be acknowledged - as I believe was the agreement. It is important that the new Norton Company accept and celebrate the people who continue to support them. I would like to see the plaque prominently displayed. Come on Norton sort it out!

I'm sorry to hear that it seems like Stuart Garner is back in charge at Norton. What are we to think otherwise? Why would you hang on to a loan vehicle, if the owner (Ian Loram) has requested its return, especially as he provided you with 55 bikes from his collection to start your own ready-made Heritage Trail. Please explain that this has been a terrible misunderstanding, and fix a date with Ian for the return of his machine. **Nil Stars is what I want to leave** So much promise - but it all looks like Hot Air again. How many times have we Norton Lovers been burned? I still have plenty of worthless Norton shares from the Phillipe Le Roux days - will I ever see a penny? All pigs fuelled & ready to fly!

It's now two weeks since Ian Loram's review about the (non) return of his motorcycle. I really hope this is now sorted. Hard to believe the factory could treat Ian in this way, after all he has done to promote to Norton brand. I've given you one star only because it won't let me post with no stars!

Being lucky enough to win a place in the Norton Owners Club ‘Free Lunch’ invitation to visit the New Norton Factory at Solihull, I joined up with 90 odd other members on Sunday the 16th January at the new facility. On arrival we were all made very welcome by the staff on duty for the day who were very well organised. During the visit, after being split into smaller groups, we were able to look around all of the various sections of the factory such as, quality control, engine assembly, frame assembly welding and final assembly The facility is extremely clean and well organised and the quality of the product parts we were able to get up close too was excellent A great lunch and time to have a chat with lots of people made it a great day out A big thanks to all concerned

It is with sadness that I learn of the situation and treatment of Ian Loram. Ian has been a staunch supporter of all things Norton over an extensive period of time.. He has been a prominent figure with the NOC and at local club level.. Without Ian, Norton would certainly not have the collection they have now adorning their factory. Norton would have nothing to show for its heritage except for a few photos. Norton, you need to show Ian the highest level of respect.. and expedite the return of his property with an apology.. especially if you want to recover a little respect yourself.

We very much enjoyed our visit to Norton’s new Factory at Solihull on 15th January 2023 as Norton Owners Club members. We were well received and courteously shown the production line for the 961 commando. The helpful staff answered a variety of questions up to the sensible parameters of technical and commercial confidentiality. As Norton owners, we were pleased to see improved quality control systems. Also, the prospect of new models for a wider market for the brand. All in all, a positive outlook for the company and the likelihood of me continuing to ride Nortons.

I really enjoyed the visit, everything ran very smoothly, the staff on-hand were very helpful, polite and informative. the factory areas we visited were spacious, clean, safe and obviously on-point to start churning out loads and loads of lovely sparkling Nortons. The lunch was very nice and a welcome change from curly sandwiches and cold chicken drumsticks. The bikes on show in the foyer and the part of the heritage collection we were shown were fantastic examples of the great Norton mark and must have broken Ian Lorum's heart when he sold them to form the Norton Motorcycles Ltd's collection. All in all a brilliant day and one I hope that will be repeated many times. If i had to make one criticism it would be that there was no PA system used and it was extremely difficult to hear what we were being told whilst on the tour, but this didn't affect my enjoyment too much, and I had a brilliant and enjoyable trip. Well done Norton Motorcycles !
