Some of the negative reviews on here appear to refer to the old carvery rather than the new 7 spices restaurant and in no way reflect our experience. We were a party of four and had dinner, the restaurant itself is fresh and modern with a nice atmosphere. You can see what's going on in the kitchen, which looked very clean. The staff were attentive and friendly and the food was absolutely fantastic, fresh and tasty, probably the best Indian ever. Can't recommend enough, will certainly be back.

If you are looking for authentic Indian flavors then 7 Spice in Tiptree is the place for you. Beautiful restaurant, best Kadai paneer, Malai kofta, Dal Makhni, Dal Tadka, Corn karari tikki, soya chap are a few dishes that I've absolutely enjoyed. Very kind and friendly staff, their hospitality is world best. A must go to place!!! Parking: Ample parking on site.

My wife & I popped in here over the weekend lunch & to be perfectly honest we wish we hadn’t bothered. Service poor & quality of food was also poor. We have seen the reviews & came but unfortunately won’t be going again. Waiter doesn’t even bothered to ask for drinks he asked when our mains were served. It’s a hall turned into a restaurant. Unnecessary hype is given which is all in vain.. it’s not worth the price. There are good restaurants in Chelmsford who serve authentic Indian food. Again we will not return or suggest any of our friends.

We went to the restaurant based on word of mouth; the food is phenomenal North Indian cuisine. Supa authentic food and brilliant ambiance. This is indeed a missed jewel that this part of the country needed. Lovely Indian cuisine ( we ordered : dal makhani, butter chicken, mutton biryani, malai kofta). Can’t wait to visit the place again. Vegetarian options: Lot of yummy options

Waited 80 minutes to get food, not a sniff of a popadom offered. Food finally arrived, salty, burnt naan and not a lot of it. Major disappointment , will never go again. Avoid like the plague! Parking: The best thing about the place when we drive off! Bring back the New Times Carvery!!
