From the moment I walked into the New Foscote Hospital for surgery I felt reassured by the professionalism and kindness of the staff. My room was spotless with a beautiful en-suite. Every single member of the team were efficient and calm and went above and beyond to look after me. I certainly felt that the care I received was personalised for my needs and I was fully involved in all decisions to do with my treatment. I feel my recovery has been quicker than I expected because of the superb care received. The menu choices and quality of food were equal to a 5 star hotel! Huge thanks to all the team for a wonderful experience.

The reception team was friendly and helpful. I had an MRI scan here, the technicians for the MRI were brilliant, ensured I was OK throughout all parts of the process and even the cannula which lots of people have issues with for my veins, was in first poke! Thank you for a pleasant experience. :-)

Without a doubt the most shambolic, disorganised hospital I have ever had the (dis)pleasure of dealing with… I was referred via my GP to the New Foscote Hospital on June 10th and eleven weeks later, having not received any correspondence from them, I called to request an appointment which was eventually arranged for 27th August. I spoke with one of their consultants regarding the surgery I required, we discussed the procedure at length, all appeared positive and I was informed to expect a phone call shortly after with a date and further details. Nearly eight weeks pass and still no phone call, so once again I call them myself. The lady in reception apologises profusely and promises me someone will be in contact later that day. A week later, no reply and I’m feeling very much like the girl stood up for the prom, so I call again on the following Monday. ‘We’re so sorry! Someone will contact you this afternoon.’ Spoiler alert…no one did. Long story short I called again on the Wednesday, and the Thursday to be met with the same apologies and promises but still no return call. Friday comes around and I’m either having major deja-vu or am living my own far less amusing rewrite of Groundhog Day. I call again and I’m promised multiple times I will receive the elusive phone call that afternoon, although by this point I’m beginning to question exactly what a promise made by the New Foscote Hospital is actually worth - certainly considerably less than their fancy new MRI machine! But wait, I DO receive a phone call. ‘Hurrah, finally!’ I think. But here comes the major plot twist…Apparently the New Foscote Hospital is not set up to perform my (extraordinary straight forward) procedure. I’ll need to be referred elsewhere. Despite having discussed the surgery at length with the consultant (‘Oh he’s new here,’ was the paltry excuse I was given.) Regardless not one person thought during those SIX MONTHS that maybe, just maybe this was something to tell me or my GP asap rather than leave me living in limbo, hobbling around on a very painful knee? So no, I do not recommend the New Foscote Hospital. Particularly if you require swift or in fact any correspondence, or surgery more complicated than the removal of a few screws from your tibia. The chandelier in the reception is a nice touch however, and for that sole reason I won’t begrudge them the obligatory one star.

I have not yet had my initial consultation with the urologist I have chosen to see, however, my experience in contacting the Hospital has been overwhelmingly positive. The booking secretary was extremely polite and helpful, making the whole process hassle-free. I also had an extremely helpful discussion with a nurse beforehand, which prompted me to book the appointment.

Don't go near this hospital! It looks all shiny and efficient on the outside but below the money-making exterior there is shambles and lack of communication. Eight weeks after my wife's scans we are still waiting for a the report promised by the Consultant so that our GP can further plan her treatment. The record-keeping is sloppy and inaccurate. My wife has sent 2 letters of formal complaint but we have been refused any refund.
