I highly recommend Jake Cooke at The Neuro-Muscular Clinic for anyone seeking outstanding care during their concussion recovery. Jake assessed my condition, explaining the impact of the concussion on my balance and cognition in a way that previous doctors hadn't been able. Through guidance, excercises and near-infared laser therapy I have made great progress in my recovery. The clinic has a serene and inviting atmosphere that was very comforting durning such a stressful time. Jake's approachable nature and ability to provide clear explanations and instruction, made each session enjoyable and informative. I started seeing Dr Cooke after many weeks of pain, headaches and dizziness. I had had an MRI scan, was taking medication but it was his treatments and exercises that helped me see real improvements. His sessions helped me get a better understanding of my health and the exercises he taught me are extremely helpful in improving my health. Since seeing him i’ve been much more able to do the things that became difficult when I was suffering from severe dizziness. Would highly him recommend to anyone suffering from similar problems!

My teenage daughter had a sailing accident leaving her with Persistent Concussion Syndrome. She experienced debilitating symptoms across a range of systems. Dr Jake’s deep expertise in this area and his interest in his patients meant he took the time to complete a comprehensive assessment of her and constructed a specialised treatment plan that included neurological rehabilitation and low level laser therapy as well as excercises we could carry out at home. Having previously been told by a number of Consultants that she would have to live with her symptoms within weeks of following Dr Jake’s treatment plan she went from being unable to stand unaided with high levels of nausea and multiple other complications to seeing a significant reduction in her symptoms. The improvement was so significant she was able to take a short trip abroad shortly after starting his plan, something that was inconceivable prior to seeing him. We are so thankful we found Dr Jake and would encourage anyone suffering from any degree of concussion to use his services.

I had concerns about my balance coupled with spells of dizziness and, at the same time, was experiencing frequent occurrences of headaches. After a recommendation from a chiropractor to visit Jake Cooke at the Neuro-Muscular Clinic I then underwent a series of tests in Jake's studio focussing on my balance and headache issues with the result being a detailed programme to address both problems. I have now had 4 sessions with Jake, with 2 further sessions being planned and both my balance and headache difficulties have significantly improved as a result of Jake's interventions. Jake is a highly skilled practitioner in a very specialised field, exhibits a high degree of empathy for his patients and he "does what it says on the tin". Keith Owen

Jake was recommended to me by my daughter Jennifer as I had suffered a fall in January 2022. I had difficulty sleeping and often I would have to get up at one or two o'clock in the morning as the pain in my lower back became intolerable. Jake has a way of putting his clients at ease and explains in detail and layman's language so you can understand. After only seven visits not only do I sleep better and no more very early painful wake ups but my posture has improved dramatically. I cannot recommend him high enough. Thanks Jake very much.

I had chronic shoulder and neck pain, headaches and extreme fatigue for about two years before visiting Dr Cooke for treatment. In addition to excellent care I've had for the shoulder and neck, which has helped with movement and pain, I started laser therapy treatments about two months ago. I admit, I was not sure what sort of results laser treatment would have but kept an open mind, and the results have really impressed me. It has helped with the neck and shoulder pain but, even more importantly, has really improved my energy levels. I am starting to feel like 'me' again after a long time. I highly recommend visiting the Neuro-Muscular Clinic and trying out laser therapy if you have similar symptoms!
