Small shop with healthy food. I love York but there are few places with that specialize in healthy food options. Back home we have so many quick food stops with salads and healthy hot food bowls made to order so finding this spot in the central square was a delight. Portions are great and the price is very reasonable for what’s being served. I believe this was about £7.50 I ordered the Korean Sticky Beef with the Tamari Rice and the Garlic & Chili Greens.

I visited for the first time today. I had the super green smoothie - spinach, kale, apple, pineapple and coconut milk. It was lovely - apart from the - horreur de horreurs - a plastic straw. Who still uses those these days?!! I then had the breakfast bowl: baked halloumi with zingy smashed avocado, herby mushrooms and sweet potato hash. All delicious and tasty. It came in a bowl made from plant product, which was good. What was not so good was the bendy, plastic knife and fork. Upon enquiring re the straw and cutlery, I was told it was "recyclable", which is a completely different kettle of fish to "recycled" which is what I asked. I am with the dragon, Deborah Meaden on this, that we should be annihilating the very use of plastic in the first place, never mind recycling it. I noticed folk were putting all their rubbish in one bin, so I was quite prepared to bring the plastic back home with me to recycle it myself. Staff said that the plastic gets sorted by themselves at the end of the day.... I hope that this is true, though I find it a bit hard to envisage and believe that staff finger through all the bags of rubbish, segregating the plastic. Tasty and filling though the food was, I have a bit of a problem with the usage of the SUP's here and for that reason I would hesitate to revisit.

Delicious and quick healthy food. A tad pricey for the amount you get but it is all fresh so I guess it is justified. I usually order the halloumi wrap and it's definitely one of my favourites. Only reason it got 4 stars is because the portion sizes are quite small for the amount you pay however I do understand that it is all fresh and made to order so I guess it is reasonable. The food isn't mind blowing but it's definately the best place to go for a healthy, nutritious meal :)
