Super museum, slightly off the beaten track. Packed full of military history from way way back to present-day. Everything well-labelled and informative, with a clear timeline. Photos, uniforms, medals, equipment - the lot, including some unique items lent by prestigious museums. I wasn’t expecting to stay long, but I did. Take photo ID (it’s on a military base). Highly recommended.

Excellent museum. Lots of interesting displays and exhibits charting the history of military medicine. Some really interesting items. Bit depressing, all the ingenious ways of maiming, and the no less ingenious ways of trying to fix the damages. We spent around 1.5hours there, lots to read and look at. Toilets available. Car park at entrance to barracks. The museum is free to enter and inside the barracks, so check website to what ID you need to show to enter barracks. While there, you could consider Brookwood Cemetery, not far up the same road.
